Ana Santos

Vision. Balance. Passion.

Ana Santos is a Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholar at American University pursuing an undergraduate degree in International Studies. She has a strong interest in communications, international affairs, and photojournalism and believes in using the power of media to inspire social change. Ana hopes to fuse her passion for travel, international communication, and social issues into an exceptional career. 

At American University, Ana was the  Photo Editor for the student newspaper (The Eagle) and the student yearbook (The Talon) and has won awards for her photojournalism. Ana has also interned for the National Geographic Image Collection, the National Geographic Traveler Magazine, and Discovery Creative and has volunteered for Women for Women International and FotoWeekDC. 

She now lives in Washington, D.C..
